About the Role

As a Software Intern – Automation, you will work closely with engineers in software, systems, and compliance teams. You will help maintain documentation, develop automated tools, and contribute to the testing and analysis of embedded software components.

This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, automation, and aviation software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation for aviation software modules and embedded systems

• Develop automated report-generation tools using Python

• Support internal tool development and testing frameworks

• Write clean, modular code in Python, C, and C++

• Understand embedded software behavior and document embedded components

• Apply OOP principles to internal utilities and tools

• Collaborate with QA, Systems Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure documentation meets aviation standards

• Participate in code reviews, engineering discussions, and daily stand-ups

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of C and C++

• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

• Basic understanding of embedded systems and real-time software concepts

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

• Experience with documentation tools like Sphinx, LaTeX, Markdown

• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems

• Experience with automated testing or scripting tools (e.g., Python + Pandas)

• Understanding of aerospace development standards like DO-178C
